Polaris's Terms of Service

ACCEPTING THESE TERMS

Thanks for using Polaris! These Terms of Service ("Terms", "ToS") are a legal agreement between Polaris Bot ("we", "us", the "Company") and you ("you" or "your"). By inviting, using, or distributing Polaris, any source code, any binary associated with Polaris or its parts, or our website, collectively referred to as "Polaris" or the "Service" you agree if you are the age of majority in your jurisdiction or over, that you have read, understood, and accept to be bound by the Terms, and if you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, that your legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms. At any time do we reserve the right to update these Terms with reasons including, but not limiting to adhering to new legal requirements, or improving your experience using Polaris. If the aforementioned changes affect your usage of Polaris or your legal rights, we will notify you no less than seven days before the changes take effect. Unless we state otherwise, your continued use of the Service after we post modifications will constitute your acceptance of and agreement to those changes. If you object to the changes, your recourse shall be to cease using the Service.

YOUR CONTENT

Any data, text, graphics, photographs and their selection and arrangement, and any other materials uploaded to the Service by you is "Your Content".
(i) You represent and warrant that Your Content is original to you and that you exclusively own the rights to such content, including the right to grant all of the rights and licenses in these Terms without the Company incurring any third party obligations or liability arising out of its exercise of such rights and licenses.
(ii) All of Your Content is your sole responsibility and the Company is not responsible for any material that you upload, post, or otherwise make available. By uploading, distributing, transmitting or otherwise using Your Content with the Service, you grant to us a perpetual, nonexclusive, transferable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and worldwide license to use, host, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display Your Content in connection with operating and providing the Service. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or integrity of any user content posted.
(iii) By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept that you may be exposed to material you find offensive or objectionable. You agree that the Company will not under any circumstances be liable for any user content, including, but not limited to, errors in any user content, or any loss or damage incurred by use of user content.
(iv) The Company reserves the right to remove and permanently delete Your Content from the Service with or without notice for any reason or no reason.

This bot is an independent creation and is in no way affiliated with, supported by, or endorsed by Discord Inc. We want to emphasize that any perceived connection to Discord or its trademarked objects is entirely coincidental. Our bot, developed under the name "Polaris", stands as a distinct and separate entity from Discord Inc., with no official association. We respect the intellectual property rights of Discord and explicitly state that we do not claim ownership or copyright over any of Discord's assets, trademarks, or other intellectual property. The incorporation of Discord-related elements within our bot is solely for the purpose of providing enhanced functionality within the Discord platform. Users should be aware that while engaging with our bot, they are subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and we encourage them to review Discord's policies for compliance. By using our bot, users acknowledge that any interactions or experiences are separate from their relationship with Discord Inc. and are governed by our bot's distinct Terms of Service.

UNDERAGE USERS

The use of the bot is restricted to individuals aged 13 or older or those who have obtained the legal consent required by their country. This policy is in accordance with the Discord Terms of Service. It is important to note that no information will be intentionally stored from users who are determined to be underage. In the event that it is discovered that a user falls below the permissible age, we are fully committed to taking all necessary actions to promptly and thoroughly delete any stored data associated with that user. Our dedication to compliance with age restrictions underscores our commitment to ensuring a safe and responsible user experience for all.

LIABILITY

The developers and owner of the bot cannot be held liable for individuals who violate these Terms at any given time. We reserve the right to update these terms at our discretion, providing a 1-Week (7 days) period during which users may choose to opt out of the updated terms. Users can exercise this option by removing the bot from any server where they have the authority to do so. We encourage users to regularly review these terms to stay informed about any changes. The opt-out period offers users the flexibility to make an informed decision about continued use in light of any modifications to the terms. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these terms for a smooth and secure interaction with our bot.
